In search of beekeepingsustainable naturalof quality

One third of the food we eat depends on the work of bees. The main objectives of bee production are to achieve an environmentally sustainable management system by respecting natural cycles, biodiversity and agrobiodiversity, and maintaining the balance between them; also combining these objectives with high quality products.

Beekeeping for passion

Beekeeping has fascinated me since I was a young boy, Finally in late 2022 I started to buy my first beekeeping equipment and the following spring, thanks to the help of Tommaso Perri for friends Tom, I was able to concretize the idea of practicing beekeeping. I quickly realized that the period beekeepers are facing is delicate, climate change, scientific research, choices, doubts. A challenge that strengthens the determination to live beekeeping with increased awareness and passion.

My apiaries

I look after two apiaries located in different areas in the canton of Ticino. The first is located in a wooded area in Leventina called Ciossett, while the second apiary is in the Mesolcina in Lumino, in a wooded area called Tilitt. The flowering of the two areas is similar, mostly comprising acacia, chestnut and linden trees, and to a lesser extent tarax and wild flowers.

The Association for the Respect and Knowledge of Bees.

"arises at a time during which stressors for bees and pollinating insects in general are multiplying at an unprecedented rate. A degenerative situation that, predictably, is bound to worsen further in the coming years." ... As a beekeeper in Ticino, I wanted to dedicate this space to the members of this association who with commitment face with seriousness, spirit of scientific exploration and shared analysis the problems that endanger the survival of our bees.
